Prof. Vormann

Career

Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Jürgen Vormann, born 1953, studied Science of Nutrition at the University Hohenheim, Stuttgart, Germany in 1972-1978.

1981 he earned his Doctorate in Pharmacology and Toxicology of Nutrition and
1991 the habilitation und Venia Legendi in Biochemistry at the Free Univerity Berlin, where he was applied as extraordinary professor in 1997.

1978-1980 he worked at the Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology of Nutrition, from 1980 to 1996 as a scientist at the Biology and Biochemistry, University Clinics Benjamin Franklin, Department of Human Medicine, Free University Berlin.

1996-1999 he was Scientific Head of Protina Pharm. GmbH/Klopfer Nährmittel GmbH, Ismaning, Germany.

1999 he founded the Institute for Prevention and Nutrition (IPEV) in Ismaning/Munich, where he is the head of to date.

Prof. Vormann is former president of the German Society of Magnesium-Research, member of various international and German scientific societies and is in the advisory board of various societies for nutrient medicine and nutrition.
